I came across this book before it was released, read the blurb & decided that I was going to put on my list. I'm so glad that I did. I will stop reading a book if it doesn't draw me in by the third chapter. Let me tell you, I was drawn into this book. The author gives you the story from each main character's prospective. This made me feel like I was feeling & experiencing what the characters were. This is a book about loss, grief , secrets , what will do to hide your secrets & will the price be too high for you to keep your secrets? Amazing writing. I guess not everyone likes the multiple POV storytelling but I felt the author did an excellent job building up the characters this way and I found myself pulled right into the plight of Holly and Savannah. In fact, I felt connected with all the characters in this book and loved the plot twists and excellent storytelling. Great read all around and I hope to see more books from this author. I did not like the way that it was written from the perspective of six different people with most chapters split in two, past and present, which meant a lot of to-ing and fro-ing and with quite a wait to get around to a particular character again. Savannah, one of the main characters, seemed very knowledgeable about a lot of things for an almost sixteen/just sixteen-year-old and the way she spoke and the amount of confidence she had were that of a much older person. The storyline itself was interesting and made for a good read but I think it could have been so much better if a different style of writing had been used.
